the brake makes my 10-22 look like an m1 carbine-cool! now the bad news – as other reviews stated, the set screw is worthless-and the finish is so so-with sharp edges. It does fit tightly on the barrel without the screw-I would buy another if just for the looks.

i will say this item did help stabilize the bullet as it leaves the barrel but one draw back is that the one i recevied had a stripped out set screw so i had to go to the hardware store an buy a new set screw which sucked i wish it had come with a good one another thins is that your dont really need the the set screw it has a tight fit
